Starting in Summer of 2014, Rutgers University - Newark began a multi-year project to systematically renovate and improve it's classrooms.  While the bulk of the renovations have been to simply improve the appearance and technology of the rooms, this has also been an opportunity to redesign and change the purpose of the learning spaces.  Over the last 4 years 85 classrooms have been renovated and upgraded at the cost of eight million dollars.  Additionally, 3500 student seats have been replaced.
