Synchronous Learning Spaces are a type of classroom designed to support courses that are taught in multiple locations at the same time.  The technology in these classrooms can also be used to connect remote guest speakers to the class in a highly interactive fashion. Rutgers University - Newark has a number of these classrooms to support synchronous learning.  These rooms are using the Cisco Telepresence intelligent video conferencing solution. Discreet cameras provide ideal framing and focus on speakers and active speaker tracking at 1080p HD resolution.
